This is the time of year where we all seem to reflect on what we are most thankful for. I wanted to post my ‘top 10’ that I am most thankful for..

  1. Life – I am thankful for the ability to live and although I am not perfect, I am thankful for another day to try and be the best I can be.
  2. Love – I am thankful for God’s love, a love that is indescribable other than using the word unconditional. I am thankful that no matter how many times I fail, God still loves me and cares for me. He loves and cares for you, too!
  3. Family – I am so incredible thankful for my family. As a whole it can be dysfunctional at times but I love each and every member and know that at the end of each day no matter the circumstances, we all are there for each other.
  4. My daughter – I am so thankful that the Lord called me to be her mom. Parenthood isn’t always sunshine and roses but everyday with her is full of love and laughter. I am so proud and hope that the Lord blesses me with many more years as her mom.
  5. My boyfriend, Kasey – This man right here is the only man who can get on my absolute nerves yet I love him more and more each day. He has shown me such support in the most darkest times and going through life with him is nothing but special. He truly is one of my biggest fans and I cherish every minute of our love story!
  6. Freedom – I am so incredibly thankful for the freedoms that we have in America. So many of which we often take advantage of.
  7. Material things – I know I shouldn’t put much emphasis on material things but in this case, I am super thankful for our home, warmth, food, electricity, all the material things that allow us to live peacefully and without worry of going without.
  8. Friends – I don’t have many that I truly consider an honest friend but the few I do have, I cherish their friendship. I cherish their brutal honesty, and I cherish each moment spent with them.
  9. Experiences – I am thankful for both good and bad experiences. At just 30 years young I have been through so many different things that some people don’t experience in their lifetime. Each experience has shaped me into the person I am today.
  10. Passion & Purpose – I couldn’t be more thankful to feel so passionate about not one topic but many. To have a passion for something gives so much purpose. I am thankful for the callings and direction that God places on my heart to fulfill his purpose.

What are you most thankful for this Thanksgiving season?

Purposeful Planner

You all know how much love I have for my planner, I am super excited to share with you my 2016 planner that just arrived! For 2015 I used a Erin Condren Life Planner thanks to a wonderful recommendation from a friend. I loved it, it is vibrant, lively, and has lots of doodle room. However, I wanted something that would really make me reflect on LIFE and not just what I needed to do and when I needed to do it. So, for 2016 I’m giving the Corie Clark Purposeful Planner a try.

It arrived in a gorgeous black and white striped box with a welcome card and precious inspirational card that says

You were created for a purpose it’s time to start living like it.

I absolutely love it, couldn’t agree more. That’s kinda where I am currently. I have so many to do’s and not even time in the day to get them done. It’s time I start really delving in on more than just a to do list.

Let me go into what makes this planner so special and “purposeful”. Outside of the inside cover being an animal print folder, this planner was created with much thought and love. It begins with a introduction letter from Corie Clark and an explanation of each section of your planner and how to get the most out of it. You begin by completing the “planning with a purpose” page. This lets you reflect on who you are, what are four of the most important hats that you wear? Out of those four roles, how do you want to be successful this year in each? Then, there are additional questions that you answer as a reflection and goal setting tool. The next page is your bucket list. What do you want to do this year? The next two pages are full 2016-2019 calendars.

Each month has it’s own tab and the month starts off with a full calendar. A quote is at the top right and extra room for notes on the left. Followed by the full month spread of two pages, there is a budget page, menu page, master to do list for the month, dreams and goals, and then each day has it’s own full page. YES! Each day has it’s own full page.

Each day has the date listed at the top with a quote. Other important areas on the daily page are “today I will..”, “health”, “water”, and my favorite “Prayer & Praise”. A planner designed with a special place for you to jot down prayers and praises daily! Other areas on the page is the schedule, brain dump, retail therapy, and menu. Each page also has a 15 minutes column with a guideline for each day. Here’s an image of January 1 in my 2016 planner (straight out of the box):

I cannot wait to begin using my purposeful planner. I have my washi tape, stamps, and pens stocked and ready. The one negative is the size, it is a large planner and will not fit in your everyday purse unless you’re carrying  a beach sized bag. With all the information it holds though, I can’t complain about the size.

If you’re interested in ordering your very own Corie Clark Purposeful Planner, visit the website here: Corie Clark (I chose the Coco Stripes Daily Planner, they are also available in other covers and as a weekly planner instead of daily).

A Day Well Spent!

This morning started off with a tumbling session for my mini and packing twelve shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

We had a delicious lunch at a favorite spot of mine downtown and picked up my niece for a fun-filled evening. She celebrated her 11th birthday last night and we were unable to attend because mini had a mandatory practice. So we’re having a sleepover to celebrate.

Our afternoon began with The Peanuts Movie which I absolutely loved! My favorites are Sally and Snoopy, adorable! It was neat to see how they transformed animated characters from years ago using today’s animation and technology. Kept the original look while improving. After the movie we went to dinner at Hwy 55, if you love a good burger and haven’t been then you’re missing out. They are formerly known as “Andy’s” but in recent years changed their name. The food is still the same and the Andy’s Original is the way to go! Burger, fries, and a drink for a great price.

After dinner we came home and let my niece open her birthday gifts, blow out “11” candles, eat a delicious cupcake from Dewey’s, and make ice cream sundaes with colored cones. The girls are now creating lots of entertainment while playing Just Dance on the Wii.

All in all, a day well spent!

I’m a STAR!

Super excited to share that I reached Star rank last month with Young Living. I have two individuals who signed up as distributors and my organization reached a volume of 500. When I first joined Young Living, I only was doing so because I was eager to use the oils and products and wanted the discount. Now, I love it so much that I am eager to share it with others. Not only that but I was contacted to let me know that I will receive a check from Young Living. Yes, I am receiving a commissions check and that was never even in the plan. How awesome and motivating is that? Please let me know if you have been wondering what all the talk is about and if you’d like to join my team.

So many benefits to the oily life!
